The Office Pizza War of 2025 will go down as one of our tastiest community moments yet. What started as a light-hearted debate about who makes the best pizza in the Bay quickly grew into a spirited competition filled with passionate recommendations, mouth-watering photos, and more than a few lunchtime cravings.
For us, it was never about crowning a single winner. Pizza is personal. What one person calls perfection in a thin, wood-fired crust, another finds in a deep-dish slice dripping with cheese. Some swear by bold toppings, while others argue that a classic margherita can never be beaten.
That’s the beauty of it — pizza connects us, sparks conversations, and brings people together.
As we sifted through your comments and tags, we noticed a few solid leaders emerging. Certain Bay spots got mentioned again and again, proving that locals know where to find a slice that hits the spot. But the true joy of this experience wasn’t in tallying votes; it was in discovering just how many fantastic businesses we have right here at home.
To us, every Bay business is a winner, and that’s why we’ve decided to take this a step further.
We’re already busy planning our calendars so that our team can hit the Bay and personally try out as many of your recommended pizza spots as possible. Yes, that means lots of slices, lots of sharing, and plenty of pizza-fuelled afternoons.
Once we’ve worked our way through the list, we’ll put together a follow-up article showcasing the different spots we visited. Each pizzeria will be tagged and highlighted, not as competitors, but as proud contributors to the food culture of our community. In the end, you get to decide who tickles your taste buds best — because when it comes to pizza, there’s no one-size-fits-all.
To everyone who gave us feedback, tagged your favourite spot, or simply joined in the fun: thank you. Your enthusiasm is what makes projects like this so special. We hope that every business mentioned got a boost of exposure and a reminder that locals are cheering them on. As a token of appreciation, we’d also like to extend a little something back to our community.
Each business that was recommended is welcome to reach out to us for a complimentary “support local” advert. It’s our way of saying thank you and keeping the momentum going. If you’d like to take us up on that, simply email Tamlyn at tamlyn@lovemybay.online and we’ll happily make it happen.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what this is really about. Pizza may have been the spark, but the heart of the Office Pizza War was community. Local businesses are the lifeblood of our Bay. They’re the reason our neighbourhoods stay vibrant, our weekends feel special, and our friends and families always have places to gather. Supporting them isn’t just about grabbing a meal — it’s about keeping the doors open, the ovens hot, and the dreams alive.
We truly believe that when one Bay business thrives, we all do. That’s why we’ll continue shining a spotlight not only on food but on everything our Bay has to offer. In the coming months, stay tuned for more pizza fun — yes, we’re not done yet — but also keep an eye out as we branch into highlighting activities and places to stay in and around the Bay.
From adventures on the water to cosy hideaways on land, we want to celebrate every sector of our community.
So here’s to good food, strong community spirit, and the joy of discovering new favourites together.
The Office Pizza War of 2025 may be over, but our love for supporting local will never stop.
More pizza, more places, more fun — coming soon.
