Elements PE – Something for the whole family

Just past the graying business capitals, face-brick houses, and the mansion of a mall in Baywest Boulevard, tucked away within the greenery of the historical little Chelsea, lies a venue well-worth the visit, and the short-drive, I promise! Don’t drive too far though, you may just miss it.

Just a little off Baywest Boulevard, well-encompassed by nature, we find the newest addition to the local entertainment industry – an umbrella term, as it includes fun activities, bars and live shows all at once – Elements PE.

The plot opened their gates a little over two months ago, with a bang of an opening show taking place on the venue’s mains stage, surrounded by three bars (talk about variety). Upon entering the plot, a helpful map is set out at the main entrance, and that is where you realize that today is finally the day that your phone will congratulate you for making over 10 000 steps! Rivaling a farm, the plot’s huge surface area showcases its natural beauty, but is also home to… well everything for everyone.

Aside from the three indoor bars, the venue showcases a semi self-serving restaurant where you can place and pick up your order from the kitchen, and while waiting for your delicious (and I mean delicious) range of food, you can pick up a basketball, or ping pong paddle, or even play oversized Jenga, Twister or pool with your mates with the available games set out for consumers. And this is just the inside.

If you thought the variety of food inside was enough, you would be sorely mistaken stepping out on the fresh farmland grass to find Terra Cafe, home to the most delicious savory and sweet treats and drinks, before stepping into the Kids Zone, where children of all ages (as well as adults), are able to pick their poison in a vast space, including toys, bikes and even a ball pit.

Just outside the Kids Zone, Gqeberha’s newest outdoor activity, putt putt can be put to the test – with a ten round course of R50 – and it is not as easy as it looks. So why not grab a drink from the additional outdoor Tiki Bar, or some snacks from the tuck shop, because you will be there a while.

But wait, there’s definitely more. The most sophisticated touch, and this is amongst the nature-styled decor, beautiful outdoor seating, and greenery as far as your eyes can see, is definitely the Speakeasy. Designed with elegance in mind, it stays true to the title.

So why not have at it? It’s very rare to take a semi long-distance drive, and find something for the whole family, even your pets. Grab a drink, watch the sunset, or some sports, or play some sports – it’s up to you! But, it is 100% worth the drive, that I can guarantee!
